You’ll manage a well-established customer portfolio while proactively developing new business opportunities across the region, playing a key role in growing branch performance and market share.\nYou’ll be visible in the community, active in the trade and known by your customers as a trusted partner who follows through.\nYour day to day will include:\nIdentifying and converting new sales opportunities across existing and prospective customers\nMaintaining regular, meaningful contact to anticipate customer needs\nWorking closely with branch and support teams to deliver accurate pricing, availability and delivery solutions\nAttending building industry, trade and networking events\nStrengthening PlaceMakers’ presence and reputation in the local trade community\nSupporting and executing branch sales strategies\n\nThis is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, based in our PlaceMakers Mt Maunganui branch.\nAbout You\nYou’re results focused and relationship led, comfortable managing your own territory and growing performance through consistent engagement and trusted advice.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nExperience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development\nExposure to the building or construction industry (preferred but not essential)\nStrong organisation, planning and follow-up skills\nA resilient, driven approach with a solutions mindset\nConfidence communicating with a wide range of customers\nA down-to-earth style that builds trust and long-term loyalty\nA clean, full NZ Driver’s Licence\nOur Benefits:\nCompetitive base salary, incentive scheme and tools of the trade (company vehicle) \nStaff-buying privileges and genuine development opportunities that come with being part of the wider Fletcher Building Group\nEmployment Education Fund\nHealth & Wellbeing initiatives including an Employee Assistance Programme \nJoin Us:\nWe value diversity and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
