It’s a hands-on transport operations role for someone who understands fleet allocation, driver coordination and the realities of getting complex deliveries out safely, efficiently and on time.\nYou might currently be a Fleet Allocator, Transport Supervisor, Senior Dispatcher, Driver or experienced Transport Coordinator who enjoys being close to the operation but doesn’t necessarily want the accountability of a Transport Manager position.\nThe opportunity\nYou’ll sit at the centre of our daily transport operation, coordinating delivery schedules, allocating transport capacity and working closely with our transport provider, customers and internal teams.\nYou’ll use your operational judgement to balance customer requirements, available capacity, site constraints and changing priorities. When issues arise, you’ll take ownership, make practical decisions and keep people informed.\nThis role will suit someone who is comfortable working autonomously, enjoys solving problems and knows how to keep a busy transport operation moving.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for\nOwning daily transport planning and delivery scheduling across Sydney\nAllocating transport capacity to meet customer and operational requirements\nCoordinating drivers and transport providers to keep deliveries on schedule\nManaging complex, high-volume and time-sensitive delivery requirements\nReviewing routes, loads and delivery plans to improve fleet utilisation\nResponding quickly and practically to delays, access issues and changing priorities\nMonitoring delivery performance and taking action to improve DIFOT\nIdentifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary transport costs\nWorking closely with manufacturing, customer service, sales and supply chain teams\nSupporting compliance with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and relevant transport requirements\nBuilding effective working relationships with drivers, customers and operational stakeholders\nContributing practical ideas to improve transport processes and performance\nWhat you’ll bring\nYou’ll have solid, hands-on experience in transport operations and be confident making day-to-day decisions in a busy environment.\nIdeally, you’ll bring:\nExperience in fleet allocation, transport planning, dispatch, scheduling or PUD operations\nPrevious experience as a Transport Supervisor, Fleet Allocator, Senior Dispatcher or experienced Transport Coordinator\n A practical understanding of drivers, transport capacity, delivery scheduling and route planning\nConfidence coordinating transport providers and resolving operational issues\nThe ability to work autonomously and take ownership of transport outcomes\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm when plans change\nAn understanding of transport cost, fleet utilisation and service performance\nKnowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, NHVR or HVNL requirements\nStrong communication skills across drivers, customers and operational teams\nConfidence using transport, ERP and Microsoft Office systems\nFormal management experience isn’t essential.
