If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\n\nSummary:\nThe “Accountant ” will be based in Chennai.\nIn charge of ensuring accurate accounting activities and effective financial operation of the function and implementing appropriate financial and accounting procedures to coordinate transactions to ensure compliance to relevant legislative and corporate directives and to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of Balance sheet accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/holds up as necessary.\nResearch and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation.\nImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.\nOversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.\nEnsure proper control and accounting of fixed assets additions, disposals, and transfers.\nGenerate reports for labor investigation, expense research, monthly balance sheet and monthly customer profit and loss statement. Review and implement actions resulting from reports.\nEnsure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.\nReview all inter-company ICV booking and payments.\nEnsure proper accounting of all transactions.\nEnsure accurate monthly inventory valuation.\nCoordinate/oversee annual physical inventory or stock take.\nResearch expenses for cost centers, departments, and projects.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nAccounts Receivable\nIn charge of ensuring timely generation and submission of invoices for Shipment and Services.\nInitiate actions for early identification and resolution of disputes with the customer.\nContact customer (email and calls) and confirm receipt of shipment, Invoices, upcoming payment dates and invoice to be paid.\nFacilitate timely accounting of Funds Credited to Flex Bank account.\nReporting activities - Generate and update Weekly AR reports, prepare AR/GL recons.\nEnsure completion of Month end accounting activities as per the corporate calendar.\nHolding up audit requirement for the function assigned.\nAccounts Payable\nProcess invoices as per the standard operating procedures within the accord TAT.\nResolve discrepant invoices as per the standard operating procedures.\nSupplier Statement of Accounts must be reconciled with Flex Books and ensure Aged Transactions and Risk Exposure items are maintained at acceptable limits.\nEnsure timely disbursements of payments & accurately accounting the same.\nEnsure completion of Month end accounting activities as per the corporate calendar.\nHolding up audit requirement for the function assigned.\nWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:\nPTO\nHealth Insurance\nCF17\nJob Category\nFinanceRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
