If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Assistant Manager - Cost Accounting located in Chennai.\nWhat a typical day looks like :\nLead a team of 10-15 cost accountants along with Leads towards driving results.\nConduct monthly performance review calls with controllers\nConversant with the revenue recognition standards and accordingly, recognize/ de-recognize revenue as per revenue accounting policy\nEducate the team members on finance updates & accounting policies through classroom sessions\nConversant with SOX compliances and checks - Monitor SOX checks for a site & to report them\nDrive & lead projects at department level\nSet review calls and meetings with site on improving the cost accounting metrics\nReview and conduct audits on SOPs and validation check lists in reports\nReview and approve all the journal entries posted by team members & make sure proper documentation as per SOX requirement is always made available\nSupport internal and statutory audit on their requirement\nMonitor the inventory reconciliation for all sites and identify the root cause for the difference and to fix the issues in mapping\nInitiate trainings for new joiners in team through leads\nMaintain minimum attrition in team & timely recognize through rewards & recognition.\nInitiating calls with regional finance Directors and controllers to implement standardization across regions & work towards activity penetrations\nWork on presentations & reports including on regional performance on a quarterly basis to top management\nWorkload balancing for the team to meet timely deadlines during month ends\nDay to day analytics to help management to take timely decisions\nBusiness acumen to understand customer business & improve the VOC\nUse AI integration in daily routine to enhance process improvements, leveraging its capabilities to optimize efficiency, reduce operational costs, and drive innovation within the organization.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team\nB.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent with relevant experience.\n10-12 years of hands-on experience, people Manager 4-5 yrs experience.\nGood written & oral communication skills.\nProficiency in MS Office.\nShould be flexible for day shift - 8AM - 5 PM & 11AM - 8AM.\nAnalytical and Problem-solving skills.\nHere are a few examples of what you will get for the great work you provide:\nPaid Time Off\nHealth Insurance\nMR03\nJob Category\nFinanceRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
