Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’relooking to add anAssociate Production Supervisor locatedin Milpitas, CA.
Reporting tothe managerthe potential candidate would be incharge ofdirecting the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, qualityand cost goals.
Shift Hours: 2pm PST - 11pm PST (Monday - Friday)
What a typical day looks like:
Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsiblefor the line’s success.
Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, deliveryand responsiveness requirements.
Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order tomeet customer requirements.
Initiate and participatein process development and cost improvement projects.
Assistin department budget planning and management of department expenses.
Maintains safeand clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintainingcompliance with established policies and procedures.
Ensurescompliance tomanufacturing standards.
The experience we’relooking to add to our team:
Typically requires a bachelordegree or equivalent experience in addition to 3+yearof operations experience.
Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex functional standards. Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of Flex policies and procedures. Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions. Ability to operatetelephones, data entry, office software including,word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packagesand data basesystems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to writereports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clientsand customers.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to collect data, establishfacts, interpret a variety of instructions furnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and draw valid conclusions.

Work Environment:
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
