If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Flex Guadalajara North. Responsible for specifying, designing, installing, and maintaining automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications\n\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nTake ownership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.\nDefine, develop, and deploy automation into Flex sites. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.\nDesign and engineer moderate and complex automation equipment, tooling, and applications\nPrepare RFQ’s and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to obtain the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing.\nDevelop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them. Able to quickly cost evaluate and work up the financial justification for automating\nConduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.\nManage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.\nProvide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.\nSupervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.\nDraft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.\nDevelop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Evaluate and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.\nImplement cost effective automation solution.\nSupport new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline.\nInterface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation. Conduct design-for-automation examination and provide detailed recommendations.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide status reports as per established schedule.\nPrepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team\nBachelor’s Degree is required and related experience/\nStrong software development background with a focus on industrial automation solutions.\nProven experience designing and implementing automation systems in manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 principles, including digital transformation and smart manufacturing.\n·Proficiency in C#, Python, Visual Studio, .NET Framework/.NET Core, and REST API integration.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software architecture.\nExperience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven technologies to manufacturing processes.\nExperience developing and supporting software applications for automated production systems.\nAbility to lead technical automation projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nExperience integrating industrial equipment, software platforms, and manufacturing technologies.\nKnowledge of real-time data acquisition, traceability systems, and manufacturing execution processes.\nExperience developing dashboards, reporting tools, and operational analytics solutions.\nEnglish proficiency preferred\nWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:\nCompetitive Salary.\nLife & Medical insurance.\nChristmas Bonus.\nFood Coupons.\nSaving Fund.\nHS115\nJob Category\nProduction EngineeringRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
