If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Chennai location.\nAutomation & Reporting Engineer with good experience in Python, VBA, SQL, RPA, Power Automate, Power Apps, Tableau, Power BI, MIS Reporting, and Microsoft Office automation.\nThe role focuses on developing automation solutions, business applications, reports, dashboards, API integrations, and AI-enabled workflows to improve operational efficiency and modernize business processes..\nReports to theSenior Manager, and the role involves,\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nGather business requirements and develop automation solutions using VBA, RPA, SQL, and Microsoft Office tools.\nDevelop, test, deploy, and maintain automation applications and reporting solutions.\nCreate and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.\nPrepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and business analyses.\nWork with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and process improvements.\nSupport API integrations and AI-assisted automation initiatives.\nMonitor automation performance and resolve issues through root cause analysis.\nDocument solutions, SOPs, and technical processes.\nProvide guidance and training to team members when needed.\nContribute to continuous improvement of automation, reporting, API, and AI solutions.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s or master’s in engineering or equivalent degree.\n3-5 years of experience as an Automation engineer.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel / VBA, and Microsoft Office automation.\nHands-on experience with RPA / Power Automate for workflow automation and business process optimization.\nExperience in developing Power Apps solutions, forms, and low-code business applications.\nStrong knowledge of SQL for database querying, data extraction, transformation, and reporting.\nStrong knowledge of Python programming, including automation scripting, data processing, API integration, reporting, and application development.\nExperience in MIS reporting, dashboard creation, and data visualization.\nHands-on experience with Tableau and Power BI for analytics, dashboard development, and business intelligence reporting.\nExperience integrating REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, authentication, and web services.\nKnowledge of.NET, SharePoint, and web-based applications is preferred.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted automation, OpenAI APIs, Cloud Copilots, and Large Language Models (LLMs).\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nDay shift and flexible to work in Night shift if needed.\nPreferred Skills (Good to have)\nExperience with MS office Automation / Business process automation, Python automation, REST APIs, JSON/XML, authentication, and integration testing.\nExposure to AI-enabled solutions, cloud copilots, and OpenAI APIs.\nExperience in manufacturing or BPO environments is an advantage.\nHere are a few examples of what you will get for the great work you provide:\nHealth Insurance\nPTO\nNK99\nJob Category\nProduction EngineeringRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
