If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Automation Equipment Engineer located in Prai/Batu Kawan, Penang.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nThrough troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.\n\nRepairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.\n\nPerforms preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.\n\nPerforms calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.\n\nAssists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.\n\nResearches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.\n\nRecords times and problems in equipment logs.\n\nProvides daily equipment functioning activity information.\n\nSets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.\n\nDisassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.\n\nAligns repairs, replaces and balances component parts and circuitry.\n\nDevises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.\n\nAssists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment.\n\nMay require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors’ locations.\n\nHighest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.\n\nSpecialized Job:\nAllocating work to a team of fitters.\n\nChecking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.\n\nFitting new parts.\n\nCarrying out quality inspections\n\nAcknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.\n\nFixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.\n\nKeeping production managers informed of progress.\n\nOrganizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.\n\nWorking on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems.\n\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires a Bachelor degree in related field and 5 years of equivalent experience\n\nWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:\nMedical benefits, dental, vision\n\nLife Insurance\n\nPaid Time Off\n\nBonuses\n\nFA22\nJob Category\nProduction EngineeringRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
