If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Certified Welding Inspector(CWI) located inDallas, TX.\nReporting to the Quality Manager the Certified Welding Inspector(CWI) who is in charge of managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations to achieve and maintain operational excellence.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nPartner directly with customers to understand welding and fabrication requirements and provide technical guidance. \nDevelop, review, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Testing (WQT/WPQ) documentation. \nConduct welder qualification assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards. \nDeliver hands-on training and coaching to welders on welding procedures, techniques, and quality requirements. \nSupport production teams in troubleshooting welding-related issues and implementing corrective actions. \nCollaborate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive welding process improvements. \nEnsure compliance with AWS, ASME, API, and customer-specific welding requirements. \nServe as the primary welding technical expert for customer interactions and audits.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification under AWS QC1 standards required. \nStrong hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, aerospace, or automotive environment. \nExperience developing and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ/WQT documentation. \nStrong knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and API 1104 welding codes and standards. \nExperience training, mentoring, and qualifying welders. \nAbility to work directly with customers and confidently communicate technical welding requirements. \nSolid understanding of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and quality standards. \nStrong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience supporting customer audits, inspections, and qualification programs. \nBackground in metal fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industries. \nExperience improving welding procedures, productivity, and quality performance. \nFamiliarity with root cause analysis and welding defect investigations. \nKnowledge of welding automation, robotic welding, or advanced fabrication processes. \nExperience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments. \nPrevious responsibility for welder certification and training programs. \nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical field.\nDR03\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
