Through hands-on training, mentorship, and a culture of internal promotion, we empower you to reach your full potential and contribute to projects that truly matter.\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Commodity Manager Mechanical located in Dallas, TX.\nReporting to the Sr Director, Commodity Management Mechanical the Commodity Manager Mechanical who is in charge of managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations to achieve and maintain operational excellence.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nPartner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to support business objectives and new product initiatives.\nDevelop and execute commodity strategies for mechanical components and assemblies.\nLead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.\nIdentify and implement cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and supply continuity.\nMonitor supplier performance, resolve delivery and quality issues, and drive continuous improvement.\nAnalyze market trends, capacity, and supply risks to make data-driven sourcing decisions.\nEvaluate and onboard new suppliers to support growth, innovation, and risk mitigation.\nBuild strong supplier relationships and lead business reviews to ensure strategic alignment.\nDrive cross-functional projects focused on productivity, cost savings, and operational excellence.\nProvide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\n5+ years of experience in Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.\nExperience managing mechanical commodities and supplier relationships.\nProven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.\nProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience with metal fabrications, machining, castings, plastics, or other mechanical components.\nKnowledge of cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO), and commodity market analysis.\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume manufacturing environments.\nExperience managing global suppliers and international sourcing strategies.\nProfessional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS.\nExperience driving supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.\nDR03\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
