Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking for a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North Site.

Reporting to the Controller Assistant, Cost Accountant role involves in charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books. Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in financial administration, accounting, or a related field.
• Advanced English
• Experience in a similar role
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with P&L and balance sheet accounts
• Knowledge of SOX and US GAAP auditing
• Proactive
• Analytical
• Able to work under pressure
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function.
• Creates functional processes or technologies.
• Executes and provides input to functional strategic plans and objectives for site.
• Demonstrates experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.
• Exercises independent judgment using ambiguously defined procedures and policies.
• May propose/provide input to defining methods, standards, policies, and procedures
• Decisions and recommendations may impact multiple departments and functions. Facilitates team in making group decisions.
