If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Des Moines, Iowa.\nAs a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and financial performance to support operational and business objectives. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, to monitor product costing, perform variance analysis, support inventory controls, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide timely financial insights that drive informed business decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nWhat a typical day looks like\nPerform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.\nCompare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books. \nCollect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.\nReconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.\nReview the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.\nEnsure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.\nWork with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.\nWork along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.\nBe familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS. \nThe experience we are looking forward to add to our team:\nTypically requires a B. Com / B.C.S / M.
