If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director, Operations Engineering located inAustin, TX .\nReporting to the General Manager the Director, Operations Engineering role is responsible for managing engineering department - specifying, designing, installing, supporting manufacturing and maintaining automation equipment, Tooling , Controls Engineering and Reliability Engineering applications as required to meet specifications.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nAble to manage/develop/coach automation engineering team to meet automation goals.\nAble to design from low to complex automation solutions for Final Assembly, Testing and Packaging including equipment, processes and tools.\nParticipate in design reviews. Understand mechanical drawings, electrical and pneumatic diagrams identifying potential risk and errors.\nManage projects within budget and time constraints.\nWilling to travel and collaborate with sites on automation requirement.\nAble to forecast diligently on execution plan with interest to achieve implementation.\nManage startup efforts, commission automation system and training for engineers plus technician.\nImplement cost effective automation, with transparent quotation process.\nProvide status reports as per established schedule with ability to drive for implementation.\nAbility to identify and manage areas of risk in design documentation/specifications.\nPrepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment.\nRequires a strong work ethic, negotiating skills and an innovation mindset.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience.\nA Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.\nHigh speed automation experience\nGreat leadership and communication experience\nExperience in large size companies\nManufacturing experience\nEstablish and drive initiatives for department and production KPIs\nAbility to hire and/or move resources across the organization in order to meet priorities and deadlines\nUnderstanding of medical validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)\nExperience in building an engineering organization and managing 300 people or more\nSupport of a 24/7 production operation\nExperience working in a cross-metrics organization \nSupporting an organization coexisting with the customer on site.\nExperience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Food or Consumer industries)..\nFDA Audit Experience (Preferred).\nKR14\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
