If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nThe Quality Director will be based in Austin, TX reporting to VP of Operations.\nThe Quality Director role will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating product quality assurance program(s) to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products through the development and management of people and processes.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nSurveys and evaluates future and current vendors\nPrepares and implements QA Policies and Procedures\nReviews discrepancy reports and implements corrective actions\nReports progress to customers as required. Maintains contact with customers to ensure their business needs are met or exceeded\nConducts presentations to staff as required\nEstablishes QA aims and creates plan of action\nDiscuss with top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies,operating procedures and goals\n\nEvaluates content of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with topmanagement in formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program\n\nConfers with engineering about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience. A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.\nDemonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses. Must have knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and applicable regulations.\nDemonstrated skills in project management and ability to train others to lead projects. International travel may be required.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.\nAbility to think strategically, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
