If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EH&S Engineer to join our Flex team located in US Illinois Libertyville Harris.\nReporting to the Director EH&S, the EH&S Engineer will be responsible of developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nConsults with all departments on design and use of equipment, fire prevention and safety programs.\n\nExamines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to define if all safety precautions have been included.\n\nTours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.\n\nDefine requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds, and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.\n\nConducts or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency acknowledge, safety policies, laws and practices.\n\nInvestigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.\n\nConducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors.\n\nIn charge of identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.\n\nServes as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.\n\nAudits business units.\n\nInterfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.\n\nCompiles and submits safety reports.\n\nAdministers workers compensation, OSHA 300 log and return to work program.\n\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team,\nBachelor's degree in engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.\n\n+5 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.\n\nMicrosoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word.)\n\nDocumentation skills\n\nAbility to work effectively with others.\n\nHere are a few of our preferred experiences:\nPrevious experience in the manufacturing industry.\n\nSafety Certifications.\n\nSpecific program experience i.e. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Safety, Risk Assessments (JHA, JSA, RA), Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Arial Work Platforms (AWP), Hearing Conservation, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis (Fishbone, 5-Why)\n\nISO14001, 45001\n\nKR13\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
