This role is responsible for test architecture, electrical hardware design, instrumentation integration, automation software development, and manufacturing deployment. The ideal candidate will partner closely with customers, design engineering, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, reliable production test solutions.\nThis position will be onsite in Austin, TX\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDevelop test strategies, architectures, and test plans for new products.\nDesign electrical test hardware, interface boards, signal conditioning circuits, and fixtures.\nSelect and integrate instrumentation including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators, RF equipment, environmental chambers, and leak test systems.\nDevelop automated test software using TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, C/C#, and Linux scripting.\nImplement communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, USB, SPI, I²C, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.\nIntegrate MES, traceability, and manufacturing data collection requirements.\nSupport tester bring-up, debugging, validation, deployment, and production ramp activities.\nLead DFT reviews, customer design reviews, and provide technical leadership for test development projects.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\n5+ years developing automated functional test systems for electronic products.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.\nProven experience leading test development projects from concept through production launch.\nStrong analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics knowledge.\nExperience designing test hardware, interface circuits, fixtures, and custom PCBs.\nProficiency with NI TestStand and at least one programming language such as Python, C, or C#.\nHands-on experience with ATE, instrumentation, and measurement systems.\nAbility to interpret schematics, technical requirements, and communication protocols.\nStrong cross-functional communication skills and ability to travel up to 20%.\nPreferred Qualifications\nNI LabVIEW experience.\nManufacturing test data collection and MES integration.\nExperience with environmental chambers, leak testing, and high-volume manufacturing.\nDesign for Testability (DFT) experience.\nRF test and measurement experience.\nPCB schematic capture and layout experience (OrCAD, Allegro, or similar).\nTechnical Skills (preferred\nSoftware: NI TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, C, C#, Linux, Git\nProtocols: Ethernet/TCP-IP, CAN/CAN FD, RS-232/485, USB, SPI, I²C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, EtherCAT\nEquipment: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Power Supplies, Signal Generators, RF Test Equipment, Environmental Chambers, ATE, Leak Test Systems\nJS21\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
