If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to addEngineer - Supply chain position will be based in Chennai.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDrives sourcing/pricing strategies in materials quotations.\n\nPresents materials value-add to customers or suppliers, and influence customer to use Flex preferred suppliers.\n\nInterfaces with customer or supplier in new project start-up, for cost of ownership issues.\n\nDevelops and guides implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans.\n\nManages component cost/price on a local, regional and global basis.\n\nTracks materials financial performanceand initiate corrective actions when required.\n\nDefines and implements pricing and costing strategies.\n\nCoordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and Customers.\n\nDevelop andimplement cost take down strategies.\n\nIncrease Vendor Managed Inventory, Reduced Guide-Time and Electronic Data Interface penetration.\n\nSpecialized Job controls may be required for certain positions. These could include on or more of the following duties:\nSupply Management:\nManage regional supplier contract negotiations, which includes Memorandums of Comprehension, Non-disclosure and regional pricing agreements.\n\nDevelop and maintain supplier relationships.\n\nMeasure and report Purchase Price Variance and initiate action plans.\n\nMonitor and manage supplier times.\n\nMitigates shortages, excess on order and excess on hand.\n\nParticipate on and help global and regional commodity teams.\n\nContribute information/data on top spend suppliers for quarterly scorecards.\n\nCustomer Supply Chain Management:\nManages material cost reviews.\n\nDrive initiatives to improve gross material margin.\n\nIdentify, implement and drive actions for Retained Purchase Price Variance (RPPV) optimization.\n\nDrive reconciliation process with customer (PPV, Premium charges, carrying costs, freight charges, excess and obsolete inventory, Non-cancelable, Non-Returnable (NCNR), etc.)\n\nIdentify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop materials management plan.\n\nCoordinate quarterly/monthly PPV hard callprocess.\n\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires aBE (ElectricalEngineering)\n\nTypically requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management or other related area.\n\nMust have an understanding ofcost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.\n\nA background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process.\n\nTo perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems.\n\nWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:\nHealth Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nJob Category\nGlobal Procurement & Supply ChainRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
