If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Head of Engineering located in Henrico VA.\nReporting to the Senior Director - Global Engineering the Head of Engineering will be responsible for working with Engineering Leaders, Manufacturing Operations Management, Product Managers and other Engineering and Operational functional leaders, to lead several Design & Engineering teams involved in the design, validation and implementation of innovative and cost-effective product solutions of varying scope in order to meet customer requirements from development of conceptual prototypes and architecture through development into full-scale production.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDirect and control the activities of broad functional area through several senior Design & Engineering managers involved in activities such as designing, developing, modifying and evaluating integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems.\nPartner with other leaders to establish objectives and action plans.\nEnsure the development of Design & Engineering solutions for diversified industry segment covering a wide range of products and volume mixes.\nEnsure budget, schedules and performance indicators meet corporate guidelines.\nProvide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate directors to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.\nDevelop and continuously improve people, methods, systems, processes and metrics in a complex and rapidly changing environment to improve customer satisfaction.\nOrganize and lead reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications.\nPartner with Operations leaders to ensure Engineering & Design activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations including the use of Design for Manufacturability principles.\nImplement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team,\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience.
