We're helping close the gap between what the future demands and what the world can deliver.\nAt Axiom, you'll take on meaningful challenges, be trusted with real responsibility, and work alongside people who value candor, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nJob Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Industrial Engineer located in Columbia, SC.\nReporting to theBusiness Excellence Leader the Industrial Engineer role is responsible for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nProvides process time estimation to the quote team.\nSimulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.\nDuring NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.\nReviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.\nworkmeasurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.\nExamines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.\nRecommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.\nConfers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.\nMay develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.\nDevelops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.\nDesigns or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.\nManages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like Lean, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.\nDemonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.\nDemonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.\nTypically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.\n Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations.\nRA18\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
