If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nGeneral Purpose:\nResponsible for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nProvides process time estimation to the quote team.\nSimulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.\nDuring NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.\nReviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.\nworkmeasurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.\nExamines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment. \nRecommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.\nConfers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.\nDesigns or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations\nManages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like Lean, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects. \nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires 6 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.\nAssociates or Bachelors degree in industrial engineering preferred\n2+ years of autocad experience\nDemonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. \nDemonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. \nDemonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations.\nAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. \nAbility to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis. \nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. \nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. \nImpacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function. Creates functional processes or technologies. \nExecutes functional strategic plans and objectives at the site. \nDemonstrates experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives. \nExercises independent judgment using ambiguously defined procedures and policies; may propose/provide input to defining methods, standards, policies and procedures. \nMakes decisions for sections/sub-functions. Decisions may affect multiple sections/sub-functions.\nDemonstrates skills in teaching/leading and/or mentoring; may lead a team.
