If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Junior Engineer - Component Engineering located in Chennai\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nEnter and maintain component data and manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in global component database.\nCreate a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets.\nValidate MPN and provide Alternates\nMonitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company\nWork closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications\nRespond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Component specifications\nEnsure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics\nEnsure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.\nTrain new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.\nPerform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.\nIdentify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes\nPrepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.\nThe experience we're looking to add to our team:\nB.E(ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a Component Engineer in Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry\nFlexible to work in night shifts.\nHands on experience in the following domains\nNPI (New Product Introduction) BOM (Bill of Materials) Management\nSemiconductor sourcing/Analysis\nWorking Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN\nHands on Experience in any PLM software\nshould have good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point & Word skills\nCommand over oral and written skills in English\nGood analytical skills, logical thinking, Coaching & mentoring skills.\nShould be open for shift\nHere are a few examples of what you will get for the great work you provide:\nHealth Insurance\nPTO\nBB04\nJob Category\nProduction EngineeringRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
