If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Lead located in Columbia, SC.\nReporting to the Associate Production Supervisor the Lead role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to groups of non-exempt employees.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nProvide ongoing feedback on performance of individuals through both formal and informal evaluations.\nInitiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.\nCoordinate people resource requirements for the department.\nAssist in department budget planning and manage department expenses.\nCommunicate daily plan and any production or customer service issues\nHighlight material shortages, interface with Expediter/Purchasing on any part shortages\nRecognize and monitor bottlenecks.\nReport and alert resources concerning downtime.\nInterface with Test Support/Maintenance on equipment problems.\nTrack time for NPI/Pre-production/re-work.\nCommunicate with opposite shift to ensure communication flow.\nUpdate department communication boards.\nFollow quality indicators. Stop and alert if predefined indicators are below target.\nPrimary contact for response to situations where scrap is occurring in any process step.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires an associate’s degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.\n6 years of related experience\nServes as an expert/consultant in manufacturing line skills with other employees. \nDemonstrates broad knowledge of manufacturing line techniques and may improve processes. \nOccasionally exposed to work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock and occasionally works in job assignments that may require overtime and 2nd or 3rd shift job assignments as required.
