If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Lead Electrical Test Technician in USA, Fontana Ca.\nReporting to the Electrical Engineering Assistant Manager the Lead Electrical Test Technician is responsible for leading a team of employees in completing electrical testing of manufactured projects. In addition, this role will complete complex electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nOversees the work of assigned team employees.\nAddresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to the supervisor.\nAssists with the planning and preparation of training for new team members.\nCollaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.\nAssists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments\nPartners with supervisor or engineering manager to resolve any issues that arise within department.\nMonitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.\nFollow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to perform testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems for power distribution control houses and panels.\nWork closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work\nBe able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems\nPerforms full functional testing on various circuits including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables.\nPerform complete testing including current/voltage injections, Hi-Potential Testing, I/O checks and circuit breaker simulation testing on Relay Panels and Switchgear.\nPerform Factory Acceptance Testing with customer as required.\nPerform customer site visits to troubleshoot and resolve any field issues that may arise.\nDrafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.\nAt least 4 years of experience in power distribution electrical testing or related field\nRelevant experience leading a team.\nAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and single line diagrams.\nKnowledge in testing of three phase AC and DC control circuits.\nKnowledge in testing protection relays and switchgear.\nKnowledge of power distribution, breakers, current and potential transformers, protection relays, and switchgear.\nFamiliar with protection relay software such as Schweitzer, AcSELerator and GE Enervista UR.\nGood working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment\nKnowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner.\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals.\nWhat the physical requirements are:\nPeriods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using a computer\nMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time\nMust be able to traverse production facility to complete testing\nAbility to travel to customer sites when necessary.\nMust wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
