If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nSummary:\nThe “Material Coordinator ” will be based in ……., reporting to ……\nThis role will be In charge of various duties within the material function such as inventory control, material planning and distribution.\nResponsibilities:\nComputes amount of material required to complete job orders.\nReviews production schedules and related information and confers with purchasing to define adequacy of raw materials.\nRequisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to production plan, job order priorities and material availability, avoiding excess inventory positions.\nExamines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.\nArranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, moving or transporting materials from one department to another.\nCompiles and maintains both manual and computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.\nCreates, updates, executes, and analyzes reports.\nGathers data, tracks, posts and pitches for action plans and root analysis.\nPrioritizes data entry activities.\nExamines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.\nMonitors and controls movement of material and parts for accurate inventory.\nWrites procedures, updates them in document control.\nFollows all distribution related ISO procedures, and Material Handling Guidelines.\nConducts training sessions for department's MRP procedures. \nAdministers the inventory cycle count program, reconciles discrepancies, resolves issues, and analyzes inventory cycle count reports.\nIdentifies parts and supplies that need to be ordered to maintain specified stocking levels.\nAnalyzes stock usage and defines correct stocking levels.\nInvestigates unusual high usage of materials and parts and suggests methods of correcting problem found.\nStocks and issues materials or merchandise.\nIn charge of for adding new part numbers to current inventory based on input from manufacturing.\nVerifies the accuracy of the material kit vs. the pick list for correct parts by checking that all parts are packaged and contained in the kit.\nTracks defect levels on inspected kits, calculates quality performance, charts results, develops process improvements and schedules work of others.\nQualifications:\nTypically requires completion of secondary school, vocational training, or equivalent with experience in the use of computer applications plus one year of general clerical experience.\nMay require minimal functional process knowledge.\nUse of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems, Experience in the use of computer applications, Inventory Experience, BAAN or any ERP experience, Inventory Cycle count.\nUse of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems.
