If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Lead located in Austin, TX.\nReporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Materials Lead is responsible for leading the work of others and participates in work related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\n\nCoordinates the activities of subordinates.\nReviews difficult or complex work procedures to resolve questions presented by workers.\nEnsures accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.\nDesigns stockroom layout and oversees rearranging process.\nOversees and participates in counting, weighing and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.\nExamines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; fills out appropriate forms or documents.\nFills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs; keeps records of storeroom inventory.\nOversees and participates in ordering or purchasing a variety of stock items such as recommending changes to standard items or stock levels and ordering items using independent judgment within established limits.\nDetermines method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; packages, weighs and marks container for shipment; prepares necessary forms such as bills of lading.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\n\n Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of material experience.\nPrevious shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.\nLead or team lead experience preferred, including coordinating daily activities and supporting warehouse operations.\nExperience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks (swing reach/turret truck experience preferred), walkie riders, and pallet jacks.\nExperience using RF scanners (RF guns) for inventory transactions, shipping, receiving, and material movement.\nComfortable using computers for inventory management, reporting, and daily warehouse transactions.\nAbility to communicate professionally through email and collaborate with internal teams regarding shipments, inventory, and material issues.\nUse of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, Zoom Chat, calls and videos, MS Office - email\nWarehouse skills: forklift, electronic scales, pallet jack, measuring tools, and alignment tools.\nRequired good clerical and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.\nAbility to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
