If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.\n\nTo support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineer located in Henrico,Virginia,US.\nReporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager the Mechanical Engineer who is in charge of managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations to achieve and maintain operational excellence. What a typical day looks like:\nLead the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions from concept through production.\nCreate and optimize 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD tools.\nEvaluate Engineering Change Request (ECR) and determine if a revision is required per an Engineering Change Order (ECO) for corrective action.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, NPI, and Program Management to deliver customer-focused solutions.\nSupport prototype builds, engineering validation testing, and design verification activities.\nDesign and support Power Distribution Unit (PDU) products and related mechanical assemblies, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.\nAnalyze test results, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement design improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.\nDrive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DfX) initiatives to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.\nSupport new product introductions by resolving technical challenges and ensuring a smooth transition into manufacturing.\nContribute to continuous improvement, cost-reduction, and product-sustaining initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n2+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.\nHands-on experience with 3D CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.\nStrong understanding of GD&T, materials, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.\nProven ability to solve complex technical challenges while collaborating across global teams.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle management.\nKnowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Excellence (DfX), and engineering best practices.\nBackground designing electro-mechanical products, assemblies, or complex mechanical systems.\nFamiliarity with product validation, testing, and root-cause analysis methodologies.\nExperience working closely with manufacturing teams to improve quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nDR03\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
