new designs\nDirect and coordinate planning and implementation of product or tool designs ensuring compliance with specifications and codes\nReviews and approves assembly tooling vendors’ proposed designs and processes and follows equipment through all phases of development\nReviews vendor progress to assure adherence to schedules and timelines, modifies or changes methodology or redirects activities as necessary to attain objectives within time and cost limits\nAssist in the creation, modification and testing of products and processes\nAssist in interpreting engineering drawings for production personnel\nAssist in the development, evaluation, improvement and documentation of manufacturing processes\nAssist in the development and implementation of process control techniques and procedures\nAssist in the creation and review of FMEAs and Control Plans\nPerform root cause and failure analysis, as required\nProvide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems\nInspect products and processes to identify areas of improvement\nOperate computer assisted engineering and design software\nCreate technical reports, documentation, calculations and sketches\nAssist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical/ product issues in the manufacturing of products\nMaintain up-to-date engineering knowledge and stay current with industry trends and best practices\n\nRequirements\nDiploma in Engineering Technology or related experience\nMinimum of 5 years manufacturing experience \nStrong working knowledge of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, and Machine Controls\nDemonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles\nStrong Knowledge of ISO 14001/ TS 16949\nKnowledge of CAD\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models\nKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods\nAbility to analyze information and evaluate results to problem solve and chose best solutions\nAbility to analyze data and create technical documents\nAbility to use common hand tools and power tools\nAbility to use common measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, optical equipment, etc.\nProficient in work processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and other database functions such as reporting and analysis\nProven time management and project management skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nStrong organizational skills\nStrong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills\nAble to work independently, multi-task and
