maintenance technicians with preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, installation, and repairs of production equipment and facility systems.\nLearn to perform preventative maintenance in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and equipment manuals.\nRead and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, technical documents, and maintenance instructions.\nDevelop proficiency in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment.\nAssist with identifying equipment malfunctions, defective materials, and unusual operating conditions and promptly report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.\nFollow established safety procedures, including applicable lockout/tagout requirements, and perform work only when properly trained and authorized.\nAssist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance activities within the scope of training and authorization.\nParticipate in building and facility maintenance projects, including repairs, renovations, installations, and updates to existing systems.\nAssist with minor construction, painting, finish carpentry, and other general facility maintenance activities as assigned.\nLearn to inspect facility areas for housekeeping, equipment condition, and potential safety concerns.\nComplete required maintenance records, work orders, inspection forms, and other departmental documentation accurately and on time.\nFollow departmental procedures for preventative maintenance, maintenance requests, scheduled work, and continuous improvement.\nUse computers, email, and applicable maintenance systems to document work and access technical information.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance practices as knowledge and experience develop.\nParticipate in required apprenticeship instruction, practical training, and skills assessments.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nDemonstrated interest in pursuing a career in industrial maintenance or a skilled trade.\nWillingness and ability to learn mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance skills through on-the-job training and technical instruction.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.\nStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.\nDependable, flexible, accountable, and able to work independently on assigned tasks or collaboratively as part of a team.\nBasic computer skills, including the ability to use email and Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to recognize and report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and potential maintenance concerns.\nAbility to perform basic repairs as skills and training permit.\nValid driver's license, if required for facility
