Install new equipment, power feeds and distribution. Must change End of Arm tooling and programs for robots when molds are changed. Must be able to create new robot programs, to connect online with plc’s and successfully troubleshoot problems. Must be able to create plc programs and HMI programs. As well work to a preventative maintenance program. Be able to work within a team of maintenance personnel to repair, troubleshoot and maintain injection molding equipment and electrical systems including building, robotics, PLC’s and distribution equipment.\n\nGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAll work must be performed in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with Company\n Policy, local, provincial and/or federal rules and regulations and the Collective Agreement;\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;\nAwareness and understanding of Environmental Policy (ISO 14001) and Quality Policy (TS 16949) guidelines and how the position’s responsibilities impacts on environment and quality;\nShows leadership to the workforce by his/her decision-making skills, motivational efforts, fairness and consistency so that employees are well aware of their performance and individual importance in the department;\nEnsures personnel performing work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of on-going training, appropriate education, skills and experience;\nPerforms other duties as required by Manager/Supervisor to keep pace with changes in the scope of work.\n\nSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:\nReports directly to the Maintenance Manager and can be directed by maintenance and operation supervisors;\nResponsible for keeping equipment safe and reporting any unsafe practices;\nCompletes assigned work in a timely manner;\nResponsible for troubleshooting, assessing and rectifying breakdowns;\nMust show initiative in the constant improvement of process and safety;\nResponsible for the preventative maintenance on assigned equipment;\nMust keep work areas clean and safe;\nMust record time and specifics in the maintenance log book and start and end downtime in the production system;\nRead and Decipher blueprints pertaining to equipment and building;\nWork must be completed to the satisfaction of The Canadian Electrical Code;\nResponsible for the reporting of issues identified on equipment pertaining to but not withstanding equipment and building electrical or mechanical;\nOther duties, as assigned.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEDUCATION:\nGrade 12 Diploma or Equivalent;\nMust possess a 422A license in Ontario.\n\nEXPERIENCE: Mechanical Background. \n\nREQUIRED TRAINING:\nCertified crane operation;\nMust successfully complete lock-out and fall arrest training;\nMust be able to learn and program robots within the facility;\nMust be able to learn and troubleshoot PLC’s through ladder logic;\nMust successfully complete aerial lift training.\n\nRECOMMENDED TRAINING: WHMIS. \n\nSKILLS & COMPETENCIES AS FOLLOWS BUT NOT LIMITED TO:\nGood communication (Read and comprehend instructions);\nOrganizational and dexterity skills;\nAttention to detail;\nComputer skills;\nAbility to read Electrical Schematics;\nProficient Mechanical Background;\nProblem solving skills;\nKnowledge of components and materials used in the production
