This role is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment including presses, plating systems, paint line conveyors, compressors, and related mechanical systems.\nResponsibilities:\nInstall and maintain equipment throughout the facility including polish heads, plating hoists, pumps, presses, paint line conveyor systems, and compressors\nMaintain and troubleshoot motor control systems including pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with Power & Free systems and equipment rack\n Read and accurately interpret blueprints and schematics\nPerform welding for repair work as needed\nSafely operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and aerial work platforms up to 60 feet\nUtilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as mechanical, welding, fabrication, and pipefitting\nPerform general repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standards\nWork in variable temperatures indoors and outdoors ranging from subzero to 150°F\nWear required PPE including respirator and Level B chemical suit when necessary\nEmployees are required to provide their own tools\nOther duties as assigned\nShift is 8–12 hours. May work overtime up to 10–16 hours. Two 10-minute breaks per shift and a 20-minute meal break. Employees are paid for the entire time they are clocked in and do not clock out for breaks if taken on campus.\nQualifications:\nMust be able to pass a pulmonary function test and respirator exam for negative pressure respiratory protection\nMust be clean shaven in areas where a respirator seal is required\nMust be able to communicate in English\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work within a team setting\nMust be able to demonstrate understanding of health and safety compliance training programs and departmental work instructions written in English\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nTechnical or vocational training preferred\nPrevious maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nPhysical Demands:\nLift a minimum of 50 lbs\nWork in awkward positions including lying on back and working overhead, inside presses\nMust be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet and on top of equipment safely when needed\nRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach above head and below shoulder level\nAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environment\nIf corrective lenses are required, must be able to wear glasses (contacts may be restricted in certain conditions)\nWeight limitation: must not exceed 310 lbs.
