The Process Engineering Supervisor directly manages Process Engineering Technologists/Technicians and serves as part of the Plant Leadership Team. ongoing training and development \nLead engineering activities in the design, optimization and trouble-shooting of new processes and improvements in existing processes \nLead the technical transfer of new products from research and development to high volume product commercialization \nManage process documentation; responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate work instructions, process control plans and standard operating procedures \nTroubleshoot complex manufacturing process performance issues; provide technical guidance to team members \nOwn Manufacturing and Quality processes under scope of responsibility by initiating, coordinating and enforcing project, operational and personnel policies and procedures \nInitiate, implement, and supervise Continuous Improvement efforts, Root Cause Analysis and, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and lead projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operation expenses \nContinuously focus on production efficiency, identify causes of downtime and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in product quality and productivity while driving out cost \nCollect and report data related to daily/weekly/monthly operating performance to management.\nProvide support to the area team to manage abnormal situations/issues, troubleshooting, etc. on a 24/7 basis as needed \nWork jointly with engineers, operators, maintenance, and supervisors to develop and implement process improvements \nMaintain documentation compliance for the Process, Health and Safety, and Quality Department \nMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices \nComplete all other assigned duties, as needed\nDaily set-up control and mold change improvement/mold change time reduction, cycle time improvement, scrap reduction, new and current injection process and robot programs development and improvements.\nProcessing and troubleshooting of molding machines based on material and part being produced.\nDevelop and modify robot programs to handle parts without causing damage to the equipment or parts.\nKnowledge of TPO's/ABS/Nylons/PC's\nResponsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all (Company Name) employees and subcontractors.\nPerform additional assignments per Manager’s direction.\nLead and/or participate on teams with safety, technical, management, and other team members.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field experience preferred (5 years minimum)\nMinimum five (5) years’ experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment involved with product trials, customer complaints and product testing.\nMinimum five (5) years’ experience in molding operations or equivalent combined education and experience. \nMinimum three (3) years of experience leading/supervising/managing high-performance teams in a similar environment \nLean Six Sigma training/certification preferred \nTen years safety related work experience in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong organizational skills. \nStrong communication skills (both verbal and written).\nProficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office. \nAbility to work effectively alone and prioritize. \nMust be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.\nEnthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.\nStrong analytical ability\nSupervisory and interpersonal skills are required\nTroubleshooting ability is required\nStrong decision making and problem solving skills\nDemonstrated good internal customer service skills\nProven good presentation skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects.\nDetail oriented\nGood computer
