Responsible to set up and or maintain the controls on molds, presses, & other equipment as needed to support production.\nResponsibilities\nFollows work instructions and oral direction.\nMonitors and adjusts cycle times on assigned machines as directed by production supervisor\nOperates control panel to enter or change date as needed\nEnsures color changes and mold changes are completed correctly prior to starting the press.\nAssists the molding Supervisor\nReacts to the lighting system used on the machines when abnormal events occur\nCheck process parameters to ensure proper set up. Deviations recorded for out of control conditions\nCreates new process set up for tools with the assistance of the process engineer\nTrouble shoot and root cause any technical issues.\nDocument all process changes in process log\nIdentify and separate purge as outlined in the purge process.\nTrack and record change over times, set up times and scrap.\nPerforms general housekeeping duties as required in work areas as designated by supervisor.\nAssists in setup of workstation during a mold change or as required or instructed by supervisor.\nNote: This description covers the major duties performed, but is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned that would not alter the rating of the job.\nHas the responsibility to aid in the provision of a safe and clean work environment. This will be accomplished by participating in the safety process. Examples of participation would include, but not limited to conducting internal safety audits, investigation of accidents and communication of safety related information.\nResponsible for maintaining ISO/TS16949 compliance within the molding discipline.\nResponsible for maintaining ISO14001 compliance with the molding discipline.\nQualifications\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\nComputer literate\nSelf-motivated, with good attendance.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nMust have hi-lo & crane certification.\n\nADDITIONAL COMMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
