This position is responsible for maintaining network cabling infrastructure, supporting LAN/WAN/WLAN environments, and ensuring reliable network connectivity throughout manufacturing and office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal customers, external vendors, and IT support teams.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot Local Area Network (LAN) equipment including switches and routers.\nInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot Wireless LAN equipment including wireless controllers and access points.\nAssist in maintaining and repairing network operating systems, network cabling infrastructure, and telecommunications equipment.\nMaintain network cabling infrastructure throughout manufacturing and office environments.\nMaintain drawings and documentation of network drops and infrastructure.\nManage inventory of network cables, telecommunications equipment, and related hardware.\nMaintain organized and clean IDF, MDF, and telecommunications closets.\nPlan network installations by evaluating customer requests, technical specifications, equipment requirements, and installation layouts.\nCoordinate LAN cabling installations with third-party vendors and internal facilities resources.\nRepair, test, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 UTP network cabling.\nMonitor and ensure network infrastructure and related equipment remain operational.\nWork with IT support personnel to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues reported by end users or monitoring systems.\nSupport desk-side hardware moves, additions, and changes as required.\nEnsure network security by following corporate policies and IT best practices.\nProvide backup support for telecommunications systems and operations when needed.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nAssociate degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a networking environment supporting LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies.\nKnowledge of physical and logical LAN infrastructure.\nUnderstanding of LAN architecture and interaction between clients, servers, and network devices.\nKnowledge of IP telephony, structured cabling standards, network switching, routing, and VPN technologies.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft operating systems.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to reconcile and track helpdesk and telecommunications-related records and documentation.\nStrong customer service and interpersonal skills.\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
