This position uses the GMAW/MIG process.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nPlans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job\nFabricates various items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment\nMonitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage\nPrepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded\nMaintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area\nNotifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nAt least 2-4 years of previous work experience in MIG Welding process\nThorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding include designs, uses, maintenance and repair.\nBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.\nAbility to demonstrate proficiency in the GMAW process.\nExcellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.\nAbility to read a tape measure.\nBasic understanding of mathematics is related to welding assignments.\nWhat the physical requirements are:\nMust be able to weld components that are vertical or flat\nMust have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.\nMust be able to see details at close range.\nMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.\nMust be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.\nMust wear PPE, such as respirator, welding equipment, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor\nGB02\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
