If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking for a Production Manager located in Coopersville MI.\nReporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager guides and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the following areas of a manufacturing department; multi-level assembly, electronic card/system testing and quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements. Leading complex manufacturing operations while ensuring process stability, workforce effectiveness, and alignment with customer expectations in a high-volume Automotive environment.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nGuides department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and helps on test procedures.\nExplores technology trends and market demand to plan projects.\nContributes with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.\nTravel expiation of 10% domestic and international\nForecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.\nPartners with team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.\nReviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.\nPrioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.\nCoordinates production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.\nSelects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.\nAccountable for controlling manufacturing operation and ensuring that production quality and cost targets are met.\nWorking in extremely complex problems where the research of situations or data from an evaluation of intangible factors.\nReviews budgets and schedules required by management.\nRegulate relations with the executives and/or major customers to maintain relationships with them.\nResolve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading management levels for the achievements of the plant.\nHere is some of what you’ll need:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience in Automotive Industry\n5+ years of manufacturing leadership\nLean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly desired.\nExpertise in world class global standard practice implementation of systems and tools\nExpertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.\nAdvanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.\nKnowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, Automotive industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.\nExpert use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, word processing, spreadsheet (PC), presentation and database software.\nExpert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.\nEA1\nEA42\nSS26\nAA01\nCH12\nMS14\nCC11\nEC37\nPF38\nJS21\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
