If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Specialist located in Columbia, SC.\nReporting to theTraining Manager the Production Specialist role is responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production area.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDevelops, maintains and improves assembly processes within area of responsibility.\nEvaluates process specifications periodically to decide if the specifications accurately reflect the process requirements and reviews process steps and reduces inefficiencies.\nCollaborate with the Quality Engineers on process improvement, monitoring tools, root causes and corrective actions.\nDrives production schedules and process related problems to closure.\nSupports engineering and the development labs with all new product introduction and development.\nAssists in the compliance of safety regulations, i.e. ISO and business controls.\nProvides production ready documentation (MPIs) with equipment setup and programs.\nLeads team in making process and efficiency improvements.\nHandles first calls in non-maintenance down issues and provides assistance to manufacturing support with implementing changes.\nMonitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations and alignments.\nClears minor machine difficulties and performs maintenance and repairs under supervision of technician, engineer or supervisor.\nAssists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations.\nSpot checks product to ensure quality levels are maintained.\nStays current working with manufacturing support on process and equipment changes and upgrades.\nMust have knowledge and experience with assembly requirements.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nTypically requires a minimum of 6 years of related manufacturing experience.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. \nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to effectively present information in small group situations.\nRequires understanding of and ability to use a wide variety of tools.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions.\nDemonstrates advanced technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing line techniques\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
