If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Supervisor located inWalker, Michigan.\nReporting to the Production Manager the Production Supervisor will be directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals. Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality.\n\nShift Hours : 7:00 am - 3:00 pm EST (M-F and some weekends )\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nProduce several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.\nManages a team of professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.\nTroubleshoots/analyses operational problems and advises on their resolution. Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding/capability.\nEvaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals to encourage improvements and changes.\nProvides technical/operational advice to project teams.\nMay act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.\nTrain and coach junior operators and junior team supervisors\nPrioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.\nInitiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.\nAssists in department budget planning and manage department expenses.\nMaintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nEnsures compliance of standards, all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions\nEnsure that all manufacturing personnel adhere to all safety guidelines.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Production and Manufacturing\n5+ year in a Manufacturing environment.\nExperience with any ERP like SAP or BAAN is desired .\nKnowledge of Payroll system like ADP or Kronos is good to have .\nExperience in leading high performing teams, recent experience in supervisory roles\nProven track record of building high performing teams and Leadership & Interpersonal skills\nExperience with reviewing material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.\nThe 5S System (Lean Manufacturing Methodology)\n\nSD20\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
