If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering Co-Op located in our Libertyville, IL site.\nReporting to Process & Automation Engineering Team, the student will support robotic handling systems, AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots), ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) validation, and vision integration across molding and automation systems while collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nAssist with robot path optimization and cycle time studies\nSupport ASRS, AMR validation and mechanical improvements\nAssist with vision system tuning and validation\nSupport safety interlock verification\nParticipate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives\nAttend team meetings to support project work as needed\nStudent qualities we’re seeking for this Co-Op assignment:\nJunior/Senior student pursuing Bachelors degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering major\nBasic knowledge of industrial robotics (robot motion, end-of-arm tooling, path programming)\nUnderstanding of AMR and ASRS systems fundamentals (navigation, material flow, validation concepts)\nAbility to perform cycle time analysis and optimization studies\nUnderstanding of automation safety principles\nStrong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving skills\nPrevious manufacturing floor internship experience a plus!\nCo-Op Program Requirements:\nAbility to work 40 hours/week (in person) during the Spring 2027 co-op assignment\nCurrently enrolled in 4-year accredited university\n3.0 GPA\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
