who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sourcing Manager (Mechanical Focused) located in Guadalajara, North Campus.\nReporting to the Director, Commodity Sourcing, the Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure the organization achieves its objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, innovation, sustainability, and supply continuity.\nThis role works on supplier selection, negotiations, risk mitigation, and cross-functional sourcing activities that support both new product introductions and ongoing production requirements.\nLead sourcing for commodities such as sheet Fab-Plastics, Fab-Metal, CNC machining, die casting, plastic injection molding, extrusions, tooling, and mechanical assemblies while supporting customer programs from quotation through production launch.\nThe position works closely with Site Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer, and suppliers to secure competitive supply solutions while ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards and customer requirements.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nCoordinate with Customer, site Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Program Management\nExecutive reporting and stakeholder communication\nSupport customer sourcing reviews\nLead global sourcing projects\nEnsure smoothly NPI transitions.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Sourcing\nDevelop and implement commodity sourcing strategies for assigned Mechanical categories.\nAnalyze market trends, industry dynamics, and supplier capabilities.\nIdentify and qualify new suppliers to support business growth and diversification.\nLead RFQ/RFP processes and supplier selection activities.\nLead scouting activities related to metal suppliers regionally and globally.\nEstablish long-term sourcing roadmaps aligned with business objectives.\nSupplier Relationship Management\nBuild and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.\nConduct Technical reviews DFM’s to assure product will meet customer requirements.\nMonitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and service.\nDrive supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.\nCo-work with GCM on commercial and operational escalations.\nCo-work with Customer /GAM’s and drive technical conversations\nCost Management\nLead cost reduction and productivity initiatives.\nConduct should-cost analysis and benchmarking studies.\nDrive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) opportunities.\nSupport budgeting and cost planning processes.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\nSupport sourcing activities during product development and launch phases.\nCollaborate with Flex site engineering teams on DFM, DFX, and cost optimization initiatives.\nEvaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities and readiness.\nEnsure sourcing strategies support program launch schedules.\nParticipate in APQP and PPAP activities.\nRisk Management\nIdentify and assess supply chain risks.\nDevelop mitigation plans for capacity, geopolitical, logistics, and material risks.\nImplement dual-source, localization, and business continuity strategies.\nContract Management\nCo-work with GCM to negotiate commercial agreements and supplier contracts.\nEnsure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.\nMaintain confidentiality and intellectual property protections.\nCross-Functional Leadership\nLead sourcing projects involving multiple stakeholders.\nPresent sourcing recommendations to executive leadership.\nSupport customer audits and sourcing reviews.\nMentor sourcing team members and develop organizational capabilities.\nDrive best practices across global sourcing operations.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering or related field.\nMBA or master’s degree preferred.\nEnglish C2 as minimum\nSenior experience in Mechanical environments, plastics, sheet metal, die casting, progressive dies etc. Wide supplier networking, experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.\nExperience managing global suppliers and international sourcing projects.\nExperience with metal manufacturing processes and supplier qualification.\nMetal supply chain management.\nStrategic sourcing methodologies.\nCost modeling and should-cost analysis.\nContract negotiation and supplier management.\nAPQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and
