Transport/Carrier management is closely linked to the Control Tower and CFT teams, which provides end-to-end transport and supply chain services to international customers with the aim of controlling and optimizing supply chains (cost, quality, and effectiveness). We are managing 4Pl and 3Pl services. The position is part of the (site) transportation team and reports to the Procurement & Transportation Manager.\nHere’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:\nTransport planning and Coordination:\nCoordinate and monitor daily transportation operations.\n\nEnsure optimal carrier utilization and transport capacity management.\n\nManage shipment schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.\n\nMonitor service performance and proactively resolve operational disruptions.\n\nCoordinate with carriers, warehouses, customers, and internal departments.\n\nEnsure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.\n\nMaintain accurate transport records and documentation.\n\nCarrier Management:\nMonitor, evaluate and report carrier performance through established KPIs.\n\nManage service quality, on-time delivery performance, and issue resolution.\n\nEscalate operational concerns and drive corrective actions with transport partners.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.\n\nCarrying out improvement projects with carriers.\n\nPerforming costs and benchmark analyses.\n\nPreparation and hosting carrier MBR’s and QBR’s\n\nActively participating in customer MBR’s and QBR’s\n\nAssess and implement transport solutions of (potential) new carriers and customers.\n\nProcess improvement and Cost Optimization:\nParticipate in projects as Transportation representative.\n\nTesting, implementing, new transport processes and describe processes in SLA /SOP.\n\nSupporting RFQs for existing or new customers\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.\n\nAnalyze transportation data and operational performance metrics.\n\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nOptimize route planning, load utilization, and carrier allocation strategies.\n\nSupport transportation digitization and automation projects.\n\nWhat you’ll need to have to be successful and happy in this role:\nBachelor/master’s degree in related field such as Supply Chain Mgt., Transport, Logistics.\n\nHave at least 5-10 years work experience in logistics and transport mgt.\n\nProven experience in coordinating domestic and international transport activities.\n\nExperience with carrier management and transportation performance monitoring\n\nDemonstrable knowledge with all modes of transport, specific knowledge of air / road/ e-commerce business is an advantage.\n\nGood knowledge of Transport Management Systems.\n\nSolid knowledge of carriers analyzing and sourcing.\n\nExperienced with contract negotiations with carriers and/or other logistics providers.\n\nGood command of the English and Dutch language\n\nResult-oriented, team player with a good sense of initiative and urgencies are some of your characteristics\n\nOB32\nJob Category\nGlobal Procurement & Supply ChainRequired Skills:\nOptional Skills:\nFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
