We're helping close the gap between what the future demands and what the world can deliver.\nAt Axiom, you'll take on meaningful challenges, be trusted with real responsibility, and work alongside people who value candor, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nJob Summary\nSummary\nThe Test Infrastructure Engineer will be based in Salt Lake City Utah reporting to Test Engineer Manager.\nJob Description\nThe Test Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for leading test infrastructure readiness, deployment, maintenance, and capacity activities supporting manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI). The role coordinates cross-functional execution, ensures test equipment is available and reliable, and supports infrastructure changes required to meet production schedules and customer commitments. This role responsibilities includes leading infrastructure and NPI readiness, coordinating Engineering, IT, Operations, and Program Management activities, and managing the technical team responsible for assembly, installation, and maintenance of site test infrastructure.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nLead test infrastructure planning and readiness activities for production, capacity expansion, and NPI programs.\nSupervise technicians and specialists responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and support of test infrastructure.\nCoordinate infrastructure changes with Engineering, Operations, IT, Program Management, Materials, and other cross-functional teams.\nReview test forecasts and develop infrastructure plans, including material requirements, quotations, timelines, and required modifications.\nSupport the build, modification, installation, validation, and release of System Under Test (SUT) racks to production.\nManage preventive and corrective maintenance activities to improve test infrastructure reliability, maintainability, and uptime.\nMonitor infrastructure condition, equipment performance, and test-slot yield, ensuring identified issues are addressed and documented. \nCoordinate material requirements and sourcing activities for test infrastructure and NPI projects.\nManage schedules, execution plans, stakeholder alignment, and risks associated with infrastructure deployment while minimizing impact to production.\nCommunicate infrastructure readiness, project status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nThe experience week re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience supporting manufacturing test infrastructure, NPI, test engineering, or related engineering operations.\nKnowledge of server/rack test environments, network connectivity, test equipment, and infrastructure troubleshooting.\nExperience coordinating technical projects involving Engineering, Operations, IT, Materials, and Program Management.\nAbility to analyze production and infrastructure requirements, identify risks, and develop execution and recovery plans.\nExperience leading or coordinating technical teams in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong project planning, problem-solving, data analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.\nAbility to interpret technical documentation and translate product or capacity requirements into infrastructure needs.\nWorking knowledge of continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing quality practices.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to leadership and customers.\nExperience using infrastructure management and monitoring tools, including asset management systems (e.g., TRIRIGA), switch management platforms (e.g., CloudVision), and data analytics and monitoring platforms (e.g., Elastic), is a plus.\nEducation / Experience\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires 4 years of experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nDemonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex’s functional standards. Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures. Typically requires some knowledge of computerized electronic test equipment and programming.\nDemonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business. Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.\nSupervision / Leadership\nNormally receives no instruction.
