Ensures materials and products are stored, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time to support production schedules while partnering with Planning, Purchasing, Production, Project Management, and Logistics to optimize material flow and inventory availability.\nWhat a Typical Day Looks Like\nOversee shipping and receiving and the materials group.\nConduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.\nAnalyze usage patterns and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels.\nCollaborate with the procurement team to source and secure materials from suppliers.\nManaging the movement of material between external warehouses and the production facility.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce material handling, touches, transportation, and storage costs. \nImprove warehouse space utilization and reduce congestion.\nImplement barcode scanning, inventory tracking, and other technologies to improve material visibility and transaction accuracy.\nEstablish appropriate controls for high-value, critical, and customer-specific materials. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, quality control, and finance.\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations in the materials handling and storage areas.\nPartner closely with Planning & Scheduling to align material movement with production schedules.\nWork with Purchasing to resolve receiving discrepancies, supplier issues, and material shortages.\nWork with Production to ensure material is staged and available when required.\nCommunicate material constraints and warehouse capacity issues that could impact production or customer delivery. \nThe Experience We're Looking to Add to Our Team\nBachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business, or a related field preferred\n5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, material management, manufacturing or supply chain operations\n2+ years of leadership or management experience\nProven experience in materials management, warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role.\nStrong knowledge of inventory management and material flow\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills\nEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard business applications\nExperience with ERP/WMS or other inventory management systems\nPhysical Requirements\nTypically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.\nStand, walk, bend, reach, or otherwise move about regularly.\nLift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.\nOccasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.\nAC29\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
