The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating machines within a designated work cell.\nHours: Monday – Thursday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM\nMachine Shop Operator – 2nd Shift \nMachine operators at Flexco can expect a starting hourly compensation of between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour, or more, depending on skills, education and experience. \nInternal employees must be in good standing and are expected to notify their current manger before applying.\nWhat you will need:\nA high school diploma\n0-2 years of experience with equipment such as: punch presses, cut off saws and drill presses\nAbility to read blueprints\nAny education or training in metals machining and resistance welding would be a huge plus\nMust be able to work with micrometers, calipers, height indicators and other measuring equipment. \nBasic Computer Skills. Basic competency of MS Office or related products.\nMechanical abilities are a must\nThe ability to:\nLift 45 pounds, floor to waist\nStand for an 8 hour shift\nLift 50 lbs. floor to waist\nStand all day\nPush/ Pull maximum of 200 lbs. 50 ft.\nTrunk Rotation 45 degrees from midline both directions\nReach less than 18 inches from midline both directions\nObtain a forklift and/or overhead crane license\nWhat you will be doing:\nSet up and operate production machines to perform a variety of repetitive processes such as drilling, cut-off, punching, forming, burring, deburring, and tumbling.\nResponsible for making quality parts that may have close tolerances \nPerform daily/weekly maintenance on production machines.\nResponsible for inventory accuracy.\nAssist with product assemblies as needed.\nParticipate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required.
