This position will also serve as a technical resource for the Critical Infrastructure, Design and Construction teams. Identify strategic business opportunities and threats, develop and implement plans and processes to achieve long term business objectives.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions\nProvide trusted technical and management guidance to the operations team.\nOversee the commissioning of new data centers and infrastructure augmentations.\nWill develop, implement and administer new program level planning and project management, as well as work to improve existing Programs to support site operations on the approval from the Director of Data Center Engineering.\nWill support the Operations Group with both technical and administrative tasks related to the overall proper operation, maintenance, and training of the facilities nationwide.\nWill directly supervise and critique work performance by subcontractors to ensure adherence to standards, schedules and specifications.\nWill find and correct maintenance discrepancies and work with Operations management to resolve site issues based on agreed upon priorities including management support of vendors and sub-contractors.\nWill support and train new hire personnel in the planning, scheduling and completion of preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance.\nWill require the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to navigate common word processing programs.\nOperate independently with limited direct management.\nAct as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Data Center Facility Manager as needed.\nPerform root cause analysis of equipment failures.\nEnsure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Flexential staff.\nDevelop site solutions in support of various key infrastructure and business needs.\nCommunicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.\nEstablish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.\nContinually drive innovation with a focus on reducing operational costs and mitigating risk in the facility.\nConfigure monitoring/alerting of facility equipment.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\nRequired Qualifications\nMust have 10 years of direct, relevant technical experience with Data Center MEP equipment operation, construction and maintenance.\n5+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.\n5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving.\n5+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment.\nApplicable military experience.\nApplicable trade experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvanced electrical or mechanical certifications (Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline).\n8+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.\n8+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time.\nWalk or Stand for 50% of the time.\nModerate or advanced keyboard usage.\nLift 50 lbs.\nTravel 10% of the time.\nBase Pay Range\nAnnualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $130,000 - $150,000.
