This role will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by coordinating project activities, maintaining accurate project information, and promoting consistent execution across utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.\nThe Associate Project Manager partners with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to track schedules, deliverables, risks, and action items while supporting standardized reporting, project governance, and continuous improvement of project execution. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport Project Management function in coordinating project activities, tracking milestones and deliverables, and following up on outstanding actions throughout the project lifecycle\nMaintain project schedules, risk and issue logs, change logs, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely visibility into project status\nPrepare PMO dashboards, status reports, and presentations summarizing project progress, financial performance, risks, and upcoming priorities\nCoordinate project meetings and stage-gate reviews, including preparing materials, documenting decisions, and tracking action items through completion\nSupport standardized PMO processes, templates, reporting practices, and document management to promote consistency across projects\nCollaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Operations, Commissioning, Commercial, and other internal teams to track dependencies and escalate potential delays or issues\nAssist with budget tracking, forecasting updates, and change-control documentation in partnership with Project Managers and Finance team\nSupport continuous improvement by collecting lessons learned, identifying process gaps, and helping implement improvements to PMO tools and workflows\nPosition Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline\n2-4 years of experience in project coordination/scheduling, project management support, PMO operations, or a related role\nAbility to utilize AI-driven tools and workflows to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve overall performance\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nWorking knowledge of project management fundamentals, including schedules, budgets, risk tracking, change control, and project reporting\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with project management or reporting tools\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and follow through on commitments\nExperience in BESS, renewable energy, engineering, construction, or industrial projects preferred; CAPM certification is a plus\nWillingness to travel approximately 10-20%\nFlexGen provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
