To achieve this the Global Operations Team is at the heart of delighting our customers, managing our partners and working closely with our technology partners to drive innovation through process automation. Flexport Global Operations raises the bar by using data to manage our customer’s supply chains and identifies opportunities to improve fidelity in planning, responsiveness and overall execution.\nAs a Assistant Manager - Ocean Operations, you are an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network. On a day-to-day basis you will coordinate the supply chain operations within the ISC region. This role will focus on driving a first in class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on time performance. Lastly, this role will work very closely with peers and supervisors to problem solve.\nYou will: \nBe accountable to achieving the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately\nBe responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery\nFollow standard operating procedures (SOP) that\nSolve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination and escalate issues as needed\nYour team will:Seamlessly coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners such as ocean carriers, cartage partner, customs, and warehouses\nExecute the end-to-end movement of freight within a regional network\n\nYou should have:\nBachelor’s degree\nMinimum 5 years of global forwarding or related work experience \nGrowth mindset - always looking for ways to improve yourself and your work\n4+ years of industry experience in Ocean Freight, import compliance, or Warehousing is encouraged\nStrong critical thinking skills and attention to detail\nEffective communication and interpersonal abilities\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment\nExceptional organisational, prioritisation and planning skills, and process improvement in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment\nProficient in MS Office or Google apps\nCommitment to Equal Opportunity\nAt Flexport, our ability to fulfill our mission of making global commerce easy and accessible relies on having a diverse, dedicated and engaged workforce.
