Come join us.\nYou will:\nManage a sizeable Ocean P&L for your district through scaling volume and increasing yield\nDrive trade strategy execution. Be the market expert and support the commercial organization with market specific intelligence, trade idiosyncrasies and directly interfacing with clients\nPursue LoB growth through close collaboration with our District GMs, Sales, Business Development and Account Management locally\nRegularly review the Sales pipeline in Salesforce in order to define action plans. Understand the client requirements and direct Sales towards the right segments and business opportunities\nHelp design products and generate customized go-to-market strategies for clients\nJoin client calls as Ocean representative\nOwn tenders and RFQs for your district to secure regional and global clients. In charge of client sell rate margin fine tuning on main freight, origin/destination charges and D&D\nInterface with Procurement and Pricing teams to drive profitable business, identify growth opportunities and capture market-specific knowledge\nMonitor volume performance and booking intake against commitments and ensure utilization of agreed allocations. Hold Demand and Clients accountable\nDrive all financial health levers for your district including quoting, invoicing, and dispute escalation\nIdentify and drive improvement in go-to-market, operational, and financial processes \nBuild and own P&L review and actively participate in book of business growth rhythms\nUse data to drive decisions\nHelp drive near and long term district forecasting\nWork across Procurement, Pricing, Allocation & Planning and District Management teams to deliver globally optimized results to the Ocean P&L\nGrow existing and new local carrier relationships in the respective areas (eventually including responsibility for local carrier terms e.g. freetime, local charges, waivers, credit)\nCollect local market intelligence on rates, utilization, blank sailings and extra loader plans in coordination with Procurement and Fulfillment\nEngage in local procurement for new growth trades in alignment with Procurement (decentralized trades e.g. Intra Asia and Oceania)\nTake on procurement for Partner/Co-Loaders within the areas when there are such requirements (in close coordination with Procurement/Allocation/Fulfillment teams)\nYou should have:\n5+ years of prior Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier or 5+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS Degree;\nStrategic vision and ground floor execution;\nBias to Action, Process, Structure and Data;\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;\nAn obsession with client happiness.
