You will work closely with stakeholders across legal teams, IT and Compliance to improve processes, implement automation, and support the evolution of our technology strategy.\n\nThis role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in P4W and a solid understanding of legal workflows and practice management needs.\n\nThis is a full-time permanent position which can be based at our Derby or Birmingham offices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and enhance the workflows, screens and automation within Partner for Windows and - to a lesser extent - within DPS and Liberate (Classic & SE).\nDevelop IT processes and workflows using Development toolkits.\nDevelop integration and data transfers (including using SQL and SSIS) between client and internal systems.\nIdentify development opportunities to improve IT processes and automation, developing reliable and innovative solutions.\nGather, interpret, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications as appropriate.\nCreate and maintain application documentation including process diagrams, technical specifications and knowledge bases as required.\nWork through the entire product lifecycle; from initial requirements gathering, workshops, design, and construction.\nCollaborate with fee earners, managers, department heads and support services to identify opportunities for system improvement and automation.\nProvide regular and effective progress updates to ensure the management of delivery risks and alignment with IT standard governance.\nMentor junior developers and assist with the provision of technical leadership within the Systems Development Team.\nAssist and with user training and support.\nTroubleshoot problems.\nCreate and maintain reporting solutions using MS SQL reporting services and other reporting tools.\nSupport the wider IT operations by collaborating with the wider expertise across the IT function to optimise delivery.\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n You will have:\nProven experience developing in a Legal Case Management System such as Partner for Windows or similar (eg. LexisNexis Visualfiles, Actionstep, Proclaim, etc.) or Business Process Automation software (eg. SAP, Dynamics, Salesforce)\nExperience of using a scripting languages (eg Python, SQL)\nExcellent knowledge of SQL and database administration\nExperience of creating operational reports using reporting tools such as SSRS and PowerBI\nExperience of developing data integrations and data transfer packages\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement\nIdeally, knowledge of .NET Web APIs (not essential)\nIdeally, knowledge of case and matter
