Our team is comprised of individuals who are results-driven, detail-oriented and combine a great work ethic with critical thinking to install products that delight our customers. Our technicians are the face of our company and interact frequently with a variety of our customers while out in the field. This is an important role that is crucial to the success of our business.\nHow you'll make an impact:\nInstall poles of varying lengths per install specifications. Requires digging a minimum of 8” x 24” holes.\n\nAssemble, kit, and install various ancillary components and Flock Safety products\n\nMount solar panels on poles, as well as attaching external batteries to solar panels\n\nAffix license-plate reading cameras to poles, angle to capture desired footage\n\nWork on both public and private roads, working often on equipment 10-12’ high.\n\nOccasionally working with a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30’ high.\n\nRepairing minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring\n\nAdhere to daily schedule by showing up prepared and on time\n\nComplete work in a reasonable time frame\n\nProvide installation pictures via the Flock field app\n\nPerform work in safe and professional manner\n\nMeet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys\n\nCommunicate effectively with both internal teams and customers\n\nDriving (and bringing home daily) a Dodge Promaster 1500 or similar company vehicle\n\nDaily inventory management and reporting\n\nProject coordination between end users and deployment teams\n\nThe Skillset\nThis role requires frequent/continuous bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and lifting 20-80 lbs independently.\n\nPrior experience with field work is a plus: construction, security systems, low voltage wiring, or similar.\n\nWilling to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck on occasion.\n\nComfortable working on and around ladders/heights\n\nHandyman-like experience whether personally or professionally.\n\nAble to think on your feet and while using your hands.\n\nTime-management and communication skills are needed to complete work efficiently and correctly the first time\n\nHighly organized\n\nDesire to work outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditions\n\nGeneral affinity for all things tech, and the ability/desire to learn and work with new software tools.\n\nPositive and professional demeanor\n\nWillingness to go outside your comfort zone when the situation requires it.\n\nRequired Availability: M-F during daylight hours. Overtime is at times expected and required based on the particular market's ticket backlog and/or unique requirements.\nTravel: Expect to travel up to 3 hours away during service tickets regularly. Occasionally this role will require regular travel up to 8 hrs away driving in addition to flights. In these situations, overnight accommodations are provided.
