maintain background jobs, scheduled tasks, and automation processes.\nInvestigate and resolve complex production issues across applications, databases, and infrastructure.\nEnsure application reliability, performance, scalability, and data integrity.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams while independently driving technical solutions.\n\nBackend Development: \nDevelop and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Python and Flask.\nBuild scalable REST APIs and backend services.\nDesign and implement complete features from database to deployment.\nWork across modules including order management, warehouse management, inventory, billing, and customer portals.\n\nDatabase and Data Engineering: \nDesign and optimise MySQL databases.\nWrite efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and complex joins.\nPerform query optimisation, indexing, transaction management, and database performance tuning.\nExecute database migrations while ensuring data integrity.\n\nAPI Integrations: \nIntegrate with third-party platforms including logistics providers, shipping carriers, accounting systems, and marketplace APIs.\nDevelop secure REST API integrations using authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and API Keys.\nTroubleshoot API failures, webhook issues, and synchronisation problems.\n\nBackground Jobs and Automation: \nDevelop and maintain scheduled jobs, asynchronous workflows, and automation processes.\nBuild automation for inventory synchronisation, billing reconciliation, reporting, and order processing.\nEnsure reliability and performance of recurring background tasks.\n\nProduction Support and System Reliability: \nInvestigate production issues across applications, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.\nMonitor application performance and maintain production stability.\nSupport deployment activities and release management processes.\n\nCloud and DevOps: \nWork with Docker-based development environments.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.\nDeploy and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure.\nAssist in infrastructure optimisation and production deployments.\n\nRequirements: \nAbility to take complete ownership of features from design through production deployment.\nStrong understanding of scalable backend application architecture.\nExperience working within large and complex production codebases.\nExcellent debugging skills with the ability to identify root causes independently.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and proactively solve technical challenges.\nStrong database design and optimisation capabilities.\nCommitment to writing reliability, and continuous improvement.\nTech Stack: Python, Flask, MySQL 8 SQLAlchemy, PyMySQL / MySQL Connector, Docker, Git & GitHub Actions, AWS (EC2 ECS, ECR, S3), Redis, Pandas, NumPy, Nginx, REST APIs, GitHub.\n\nMust-Have Skills: \n6-10 years of hands-on experience in Backend Development using Python.\nStrong expertise in the Flask framework.\nAdvanced knowledge of MySQL, SQL optimisation, indexing, transactions, and database performance tuning.\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs.\nStrong understanding of SQLAlchemy and MySQL database drivers.\nExperience with Docker and containerised application development.\nProficiency with Git, including branching strategies, rebasing, merge conflict resolution, and pull request workflows.\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience working on large-scale production applications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nGood to Have (Not Mandatory): \nExperience with AWS services including ECS, EC2 ECR, S3 and CloudWatch.\nExperience with Redis for caching and background processing.\nKnowledge of Pandas and NumPy for data processing.\nExperience with Nginx configuration.\nFamiliarity with ReportLab, OpenPyXL, and Google Sheets API.\nExposure to SonarQube and automated testing frameworks such as
